Europe, Thoughtfully Curated
Europe has always felt different to me.
Maybe it's the history around every corner. The architecture. The food. The gardens. The tiny cafés tucked into a side street. The feeling of walking through a city and realizing that people have been gathering in that same place for hundreds of years.
Or maybe it's simply that every country-and often every region-has its own personality.
I've traveled extensively throughout Europe in many different ways, from escorted bus tours and city stays to river cruising and ocean voyages. I've experienced the Rhine by river, sailed the Mediterranean and Black Sea, crossed the English Channel, and explored many of Europe's major cities.
And Italy holds a particularly special place in my heart.
I've learned that there isn't one "right" way to experience Europe. The best way depends on how you want to travel, what you're curious about, how much you want to see, and-just as importantly-how much you want to slow down and enjoy.
That's where thoughtful planning makes all the difference.
More Than a Destination
I don't believe European travel should be about simply collecting countries.
It's about experiencing them.
Sometimes that means spending several days in one city rather than rushing through three.
Sometimes it's a beautifully located hotel that puts you within walking distance of the places you actually want to experience.
Sometimes it's a river cruise that allows you to unpack once while discovering several destinations.
And sometimes it's an ocean journey along the Mediterranean, combined with a few extra days exploring a city before or after your cruise.
My job is to help you figure out what makes the most sense for you.
How I Curate European Travel
When I plan a European journey, I look at the entire experience—not just the flight or the hotel.
I'll help you consider:
Where to Stay
The right neighborhood can completely change your experience of a city. I look beyond a hotel's star rating to consider location, atmosphere, service, character, and how it fits the way you want to spend your time.
How to Get Around
Trains, private transfers, river cruises, ocean cruises, guided tours, and other transportation options all have their place. I'll help you determine what makes the journey easiest and most enjoyable.
The Right Pace
You shouldn't need a vacation from your vacation. I'll help create an itinerary that gives you enough structure to experience the highlights while leaving room to wander, linger over lunch, or discover something unexpected.
What to Experience
Museums and famous landmarks are wonderful-but sometimes the most memorable moments happen somewhere less obvious. Food, wine, local neighborhoods, gardens, markets, cultural experiences, and carefully selected excursions can turn a trip into a genuine experience.
The Details In Between
Pre- and post-cruise stays, dining recommendations, transfers, excursions, hotel choices, timing, and all the little pieces that make a complicated European itinerary feel effortless.
Ways to Experience Europe
Personalized European Journeys
For travelers who want to experience Europe at their own pace, I create customized journeys built around your interests, travel style, and priorities.
Whether you're dreaming of Italy, France, Spain, Greece, Austria, Hungary, Croatia, Portugal, or another European destination, I'll help bring the individual pieces together into one cohesive journey.
European River Cruises
River cruising can be one of the most effortless ways to experience Europe.
I've personally experienced the Rhine and understand that choosing a river cruise isn't simply about selecting a ship. The itinerary, season, cabin, excursions, included experiences, pre- and post-cruise plans, and the destinations themselves all matter.
I'll help you look at the entire journey—not just the cruise.
European Ocean Cruises
From the Mediterranean and Greek Isles to the Adriatic and beyond, European ocean cruising offers an entirely different way to explore the continent.
I've experienced ocean travel throughout Europe and can help you navigate the many choices involved—from cruise line and ship to itinerary, stateroom, dining, excursions, and what to do before and after you sail.
A Few of My Favorite Places
Europe is far too diverse to choose just a handful of favorites—but there are places that continue to draw me back.
Italy is especially close to my heart.
From the art and architecture of its great cities to the food, landscapes, villages, coastlines, and slower rhythm of everyday life, Italy offers something different around every corner.
I also love the diversity of Europe itself—from the grandeur of its capitals to charming smaller towns, from historic cities to coastal escapes, and from iconic destinations to the places you might otherwise overlook.
The beauty is that you don't have to choose just one.
Travel Should Feel Like You
The best European itinerary isn't necessarily the one with the most destinations.
It's the one that feels right for you.
Maybe you want extraordinary food and beautiful hotels.
Maybe you're fascinated by history and architecture.
Maybe you want to see the great European cities.
Maybe you want to combine a river cruise with time exploring independently.
Maybe you want the Mediterranean, a little wine, some sunshine, and absolutely no rushing.
Or maybe you're not quite sure yet.
That's okay.
Tell me what you're drawn to, and I'll help you figure out where to go-and how to experience it.
